Paul Gilroy is a representation theorist named in the Cambridge-suggested roster for representation theory.

“candidates need to learn the concept of Representation - best done with reference to theories of representation where there is a variety of student-friendly materials available - such as Hall, Van Zoonen, hooks, Gilroy, Alvarado.”

This concerns the representation of class, age, gender and ethnicity in Section A analysis.

Status in the course

Gilroy is not currently taught at BNDS. The S1 representation block (U4) uses Hall, van Zoonen, Mulvey and hooks.
