Goal
Unit 3 opens on a film because the table is easier to see when it is moving. In Ang Lee’s cooking scenes, everything the family cannot say is said through food. You will watch how the noticing works before you take apart the structure. The screening runs across Tuesday and Wednesday as one continuing session.

U3·L4— the film’s table: one meal replayed twice, then the written reading — “an argument nobody can make aloud.” This reading is your deliverable. - Fri 23 Oct ·
U3·L5— seminar: food, class, and who is not in the picture. LB3 posted.
