S3 Unit 6: Assembly & Submission

A Level Art & Design · Semester 3 Plan · Unit 6 · 4th of 4 this semester · ← Unit 5

What this unit does

This is the assembly and submission stage, under AO4 Present. You sequence the complete Personal Investigation so the argument reads in order to a stranger; you verify your documentation page by page (photographed, labeled, legible); you integrate the bibliography into the body of the work; and you present and defend the investigation in a viva-style critique, then fix what breaks. You assemble the digital submission to the Cambridge screen limits and pass QC. The unit closes with A4 — the complete investigation, marked across AO1–AO4, with no edits after. The C3 internal submission lands here; C2 begins in Semester 4.

Assessment

A4 is due Wed 2027-12-22 — the complete Personal Investigation (both outcomes, the supporting portfolio, the research paper), marked against AO1–AO4; no edits after. CS tasks: CS9 Fri 2027-12-10 (sequencing and documentation check), CS10 Thu 2027-12-16 (presentation critique response — the viva rehearsal, answered in writing). See the full register.

Key content

  • The investigation must read in order without you in the room.
  • Integrate your bibliography into the body of the work, not the back — a detached bibliography cost AO1 marks in the 90/100 C3 exemplar.
  • Every decision you name in the viva must be visible on a page.
  • The two W18 sessions finalize the digital submission before the break. Carnival and New Year holidays may each take one W18 session; this will be confirmed in class.
