What this unit does
Spine: “Combine · meaning.” Across five Wednesday double sessions (W11–15) you move from single images to combinations: juxtaposition and scale — “two images say a third thing” — then layering and text-with-image, then drafting toward one final collage made in class for A3. This is the semester’s longest unit.

Two calendar events may affect this unit
A G10 field trip and a G10 project week fall around Weeks 11–12. If either lands on a Wednesday, that session merges with the next and the A3 date may shift. Each Wednesday carries a full stage of the unit, so attendance matters. The final schedule will be confirmed in class.
Assessment
- A3 (Attainment) — 2026-12-09 (W15): final collage + reflection, made in class across W14–W15. Announced 2026-11-25 (W13), two classes ahead. Marking focus: juxtaposition, layering, composition, meaning.
- CS3 (Course Skills) — 2026-11-25 (W13): collage experiment set. Focus: combination and meaning.
- SB2 (Course Skills) — 2026-12-02 (W14): second sketchbook spot-check — the last progress check before the A5 sketchbook attainment. Focus: sketchbook habit and development. See the register.
