Goal
Composition 2 is the alternative you did not take in Lesson 3’s thumbnails, built with the same effort as the first so the comparison is honest. You then critique both against your intention and change something because of what you heard.
How it runs
- Wed 11-18 — put your rejected thumbnail from Lesson 3 on the table and read back its rejection note; compose composition 2 from your studies; sign-off rota.
- Thu 11-19 — build composition 2: structure and main relationships in one day. The pace is deliberate.
- Fri 11-20 — resolve composition 2; CS8: photograph both compositions and lay them out side by side; collected.
- Mon 11-23 — pin both compositions with your intention between them; structured critique, full protocol, whole class in rounds: describe, evaluate against intention, one suggestion; the maker speaks last, notes taken verbatim; each maker circles the two comments that matter.
- Tue 11-24 — act on the critique: change something real on the stronger composition; annotate what changed and which comment caused it.
Assessment
CS8 (both compositions photographed and laid out) collects Fri 2026-11-20 — see the full register. Composition 2 must genuinely be the rejected alternative, not a variation of composition 1, and both must receive equal effort so the comparison is fair.
