Goal
The tests exist only to answer what the critique left unresolved. You choose the direction, write down why you rejected the alternative, and make the development trail readable as a sequence of decisions on the Stage 6 page. This is where top-band AO3 is decided.
How it runs
- Wed 11-25 → Thu 11-26 — two-day tests run: list the unresolved questions from critique, one test planned per question. Day 2 opens with the criteria and the date on the board (Thu 2026-12-10), then you complete the tests, each labeled with the question it answered.
- Fri 11-27 — lay out the tests and both compositions; choose your final direction; write the rejection in full sentences; CS9 collected (tests plus critique response).
- Mon 11-30 — write the evaluation: what the development achieved against the intention, where it fell short, and what the final piece must therefore do. A frame is provided, then removed; peer read for honesty.
- Tue 12-01 — build the Stage 6 page as a decision trail: studies, compositions, critique, tests, choice; photograph and file. Gap brief for the Juniors Days (Wed–Fri).
Assessment
CS9 (targeted tests + critique response, written annotation) is collected Fri 2026-11-27 and is direct practice for A3 — see the full register. Every test answers a named unresolved question.
