Goal
Submission is a supervised craft, not a scramble. Monday you photograph the outcome properly, because the photograph is the version the examiner sees. Tuesday you sequence the whole journey so it reads in order. Wednesday you cut whatever does not earn its place and check every AO. Thursday it goes in, and nothing is edited after. Friday you look back.
How it runs
- Mon 01-04 (two beats) — photograph the outcome: rig, light, shoot, detail passes; prepare the images: crop, correct, name, file to the template.
- Tue 01-05 — sequencing logic: read the exemplar’s page order as a story; sequence your portfolio, lay out the full run order and walk it once; peer walk: where does a stranger stumble.
- Wed 01-06 (two beats) — edit and clean: cut what does not earn its place, log every cut; final AO check: all four descriptors, in writing, signed.
- Thu 01-07 — A4 attainment. Final portfolio due and submitted in session. No edits after.
- Fri 01-08 — submission acknowledged; what happens next (marking window, grades Wed 2027-01-20, return in W21); write your semester reflection; the C3 bridge: what a Personal Investigation is, and the winter homework — three candidate themes with annotated references.
Assessment
You sit A4 (final portfolio: the resolved outcome plus the complete supporting portfolio, sequenced and edited) on Thu 2027-01-07 — see the full register. The sequence must read the whole journey in order without narration: theme, recording, exploration, artists, development, outcome.
After the semester
W20 (Mon 01-11 →) is the exam window: no Art and Design classes. The End of Term Exam format for this studio course will be confirmed in class. W21 returns portfolios with one-to-one feedback Tue–Thu; grades and comments due Wed 2027-01-20. Winter vacation runs 2027-01-24 → 2027-02-21; your three C3 theme candidates open the Semester 2 consultation cycle on Mon 2027-02-22.
